Shelley is a 1995 graduate of San Diego Christian College. She was recognized as Middle School Teacher of the Year in 1999 at Landmark Christian School in Atlanta, GA, and later served seven years at Providence Christian School in Dothan, AL, where she was Girls’ Athletic Director, Dean of Students, and taught English and Physical Education. In 2004, she was honored as Coach of the Year (1–3A) after leading her varsity girls’ basketball team to an undefeated 29–0 season.

Since 2005, Shelley has been a valued member of HHL, helping to build a strong English department in both Middle and High School. She is passionate about encouraging students to discover and develop their gifts and loves hearing about Hilger graduates who are thriving. Shelley is also excited about the new LAUNCH class, which equips juniors and seniors for the transition from high school to college and career opportunities.

Shelley delights in learning more about Jesus, heading outdoors whenever possible, and making friends with every dog along the way.
