This course will excite your young student by introducing them to God’s creation using an exciting series of books through Apologia. We use a new five-year rotation of books in this series. Exploring Creation with Botany, 2nd edition is being used this year (2026-2027). Other books to be used in future years include: Exploring Creation with Zoology 3: Land Animals of the Sixth Day, 2nd edition (2027-2028), Exploring Creation with Zoology 2: Swimming Creatures of the Fifth Day, 2nd edition (2028-2029), Exploring Creation with Astronomy, 2nd edition (2029-2030) and Exploring Creation with Zoology 1: Flying Creatures of the 5 th Day, 2nd edition (2030-2031). We have been using these books for over 15 years and they are phenomenal! We also supplement each year with a unit study on the human body. New material will be covered on the human body each of the five years in the rotation. Students will participate in hands-on laboratory experiments, a variety of active-learning field trips and a Science project day at the end of the year. Homework will be assigned each week. Also, in order to give the young student a chance to develop their test-taking skills, tests will be given every four to five weeks in a very relaxed classroom environment.
