Rachel Scott
Algebra I & II
Rachel graduated summa cum laude from Tennessee Technological University in 1995 with a BS in Civil Engineering and a minor in Mathematics. In 2025, she graduated summa cum laude from University of Tennessee Chattanooga with a MS in Mathematics. Her career in education began with teaching high school math near Nashville, followed by a relocation to Ohio, where she then worked with a mutual fund company. When her first child was born, Rachel stayed home to be a full-time mom and began homeschooling five years later. For more than 15 years, Rachel has been homeschooling her three daughters and tutoring many students in math. Since coming to teach at HHL in 2012, it has been evident that Rachel’s desire is to help students learn and understand math, while seeing the orderliness of God in His creation. She attends church with her family at Woodland Park Baptist Church, where Rachel serves in their youth and student department.
