Middle School Math (6th & 7th Grades)

Maddy Record grew up in the Chattanooga area graduating from Grace Baptist Academy. She later graduated from Middle Tennessee State University with a degree in Middle Grades Mathematics Education. Maddy married her high school sweetheart Stephen Record shortly after graduating college. She then accepted a dream position in 2018 teaching Algebra 1 and eighth grade mathematics at Westside Middle School. She taught there for seven years and spent her time being involved as a club sponsor, coach, and as the gifted lead. There, she was a part of the staff that received the National Blue Ribbon recognition in 2023 by the U.S. Department of Education. In 2024 her teaching partner and herself were recognized by the Georgia Department of Education as Math Leaders for their students’ mathematics growth. Maddy always felt called to teaching, coaching, and building relationships. She is excited God has opened the window for her to continue this calling at Hilger High Learning while also being able to raise her two year old daughter. God has been so faithful guiding every step of her life, and she is excited how she will be used, and what she will learn in this new chapter!
