Elementary Extracurricular Day

Jenny grew up in Cleveland, Tennessee and earned a degree in Early Childhood Development and Elementary Education from Lee University. She has loved working with children for as long as she can remember. As a teenager, she decided to organize a summer day camp filled with fun activities and educational lessons. She promptly started each day with her “class” on the front porch under the American flag as they all recited the Pledge of Allegiance. There is no telling what the neighbors thought! After college, she gained valuable experience teaching first grade in the local school system. Then, when she and her husband Andrew were blessed with children, she knew the Lord was calling her to home education. Fifteen years later, homeschooling still brings her so much joy and satisfaction. Being able to lay the foundation for a lifelong pursuit of learning and to foster a child’s inquisitive mind is one of her greatest passions. Jenny is delighted to be able to share her love of beautiful children’s books, history, and hands-on learning with her students as they explore God’s amazing world.
