Spanish I & II

Tammy graduated from Covenant College in 1995 with a BA in English and a minor in Spanish.  She spent several months living in Costa Rica where she studied Spanish further, and has also spent time in Mexico, Nicaragua, Guatemala and Puerto Rico for various business, educational and mission trips.  She has over 25 years of experience teaching Spanish at various levels in private and homeschool settings, and is excited to be back at Hilger after a 1-year hiatus.  Before taking a break, Tammy taught Spanish at HHL for 20 years. She loves helping students learn to communicate with Spanish-speakers and to see aspects of God’s world they may not have thought about.  Tammy and her husband Mike have lived in Chattanooga for 21 years, where they raised their 4 kids. They have 2 daughters in college and 2 sons in high school, one of whom is attending Hilger.  They recently welcomed a new son-in-law to the family as well.
