Jessica Jones

Director of Elementary Immersive Program & Extracurricular Day

Jessica graduated from the University of Mississippi with a degree in Elementary Education. Her love for working with children grew after serving on mission trips, being a youth intern in college, and a teacher to young children in Honduras one summer. After graduation from college, she and her husband Scott moved to Orlando, Florida, where she taught Kindergarten for three years in a Christian school. Following their time in Florida, they moved to New Jersey where Jessica taught four-year-olds at Princeton Seminary’s Center for Children. The Joneses were excited to move to Chattanooga next, where Scott was called to teach Old Testament at Covenant College. After planting roots in Chattanooga, Jessica has worked in many educational settings over the last 19 years, including Mother’s Day Out on Lookout Mountain, being a paraprofessional at Fairyland Elementary, as well as at Chattanooga Valley Elementary in special education, and in the first grade at Chattanooga Christian School for six years. Most recently, she has been working as a math and literacy tutor for grades K-2 at CCS. Jessica is excited to join Hilger as their Elementary Immersion Program Coordinator and feels blessed to work alongside all the wonderful teachers and families in the program. She finds joy in spending time with children and creating little communities within the classroom setting that imitate our fellowship in the greater Christian community. Scott and Jessica attend Rock Creek Fellowship on Lookout Mountain and have three children, two in college and one in high school.
