We have displayed numerous links - throughout the next couple paragraphs and below this section - for different websites that should assist you in the college planning process. We coordinate with Chattanooga Christian School and Silverdale Baptist Academy, when the Christian College Fair comes to town. Please stay tuned in the semester fall to our monthly newsletters and our bulletin board in the foyer of the church for further details. The Chattanooga Convention Center hosts a more broad college fair every spring, usually during the month of April.

As for the preparation aspect, we highly recommend your child’s completion of the ACT and/or SAT in the spring of his/her sophomore year or in the fall of his/her junior year at the latest. We offer two ACT workshops with an emphasis on different areas the test covers, every Fall semester. The workshops are conveniently scheduled to end within 1-3 weeks of an ACT test date. This way your child can take the test with the material fresh in his/her mind. If you are interested in one of our beneficial ACT workshops, please click here or visit our courses page for more information.

Having your child start a resume his/her freshman year is another advantageous thing to do. Similar to a job resume, list different things he/she participated in over the years in high school (9th-12th). This might include a job, volunteer hours, a mission trip, church choir, being involved in a club or athletic program, etc

Click on this link for an excellent place covering the basics of college planning and preparation. It covers most of the essentials and will also give you some concrete objectives for your junior or senior to start accomplishing. Lastly, you should always consult your umbrella school for any additional information.
